Welcome to Gdańsk - Nyneshamn and 2nd ICMTHM 2012
Welcome to Poland, and the Baltic seaside, the Tricity of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia. It always was the most important Polish sea gateway to the broad World. Historically it even used to be the greatest marine hub of the Baltic Sea. Therefore the region has became the national centre of maritime, tropical and hyperbaric medicine. It is a great honor for the organizers, to guest you in our region.
The world, even in these troubled times of economical turmoil, depends on the sea for its wealth. Globalised economy brings to us, the dwellers of harbor cities, the worst effects of all crises, but in better times, it brings to us all - the worlds wealth and prosperity. Let us think together how to make happen the latter, rather than the former. On behalf of the
- Polish Society of Maritime, Tropical and Travel Medicine
- the Institute of Maritime and Tropical Medicine in Gdynia – Medical University of Gdansk, Poland
- National Centers of Maritime, Tropical and Hyperbaric Medicine, Poland

The Congress will bring together experts from the maritime related medical fields and will try to share, discuss, and debate all kinds of problems connected with global challenges in Maritime Health.
The plenary and thematic sessions will be combined with cultural and socializing events. The congress will take place 08-11.06.2012 onboard of a Scandinavia ferry, crossing the Baltic sea to Nyneshamn , Sweden, and back to Gdańsk.. We offer to the participants and accompanying persons a spectacular visit to beautiful Stockholm, included in the Congress’ fee.
